After all of the delays and havoc the Eyjafjallajökull volcano caused with its most recent irruption in Iceland, it is clear how powerful nature is and really how helpless we are to control it. This amazing photo from Marco Fulle shows the volcano two days after the initial irruption, when super heated volcanic glass particles were spewed into the atmosphere creating this eerie glow. The lightning was just an added bonus to show us who’s really boss.
